Firma NavStar pracuje obecnie nad bardzo nietypowym urządzeniem GPS dla kierowców. Dlaczego nietypowym? Otóż w przeciwieństwie do innych urządzeń tego typu NavStar Voice Navigator nie posiada ekranu. Cel podróży wybiera się po prostu mówiąc dokąd chce się jechać, a następnie przez całą drogę kierowca bazuje jedynie na komunikatach głosowych podawanych przez system nawigacji.
Firma planuje wykorzystać specjalne, bardzo często aktualizowane mapy, dzięki czemu brak ekranu nie powinien doskwierać użytkownikom.
Czy tego typu rozwiązanie sprawdzi się w praktyce? O tym przekonamy się dopiero gdy urządzenie pojawi się w sklepach. Tracer Navigator TRN-1 charakteryzuje bardzo stylowy wygląd, osiągnięty poprzez zredukowanie zbędnych przycisków, zastosowanie aluminiowego frontu oraz najwyższej jakości tworzywa.
